Mary May Stringer, 86, of Arnold Towers died Thursday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Danville, after an illness.Born August 27, 1902, in Perryville, she was a daughter of the late Charlie and Susie Compton May. She was the widow of Nelson Stringer. She retired from Indiana State Hospital and Danville Laundry and Dry Cleaners. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Broadway.Survivors include a daughter, Martha Byer of Newton Falls, Ohio; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildrenThe funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church by the Revs. Bill Vaught and Tim Mathis.
