A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday for Mildred I ( Smith ) Maigret, 89, of 185 Westminster Street, who died Sunday, June 19, 1994, at the Arden House after a long illness. She was the wife of Marcel L Maigret.
The mass will be at 10 am, in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery, North Haven.
Mrs. Maigret, daughter of the late William and Nellie (Dixon) Smith, was born in Southbury March 9, 1905, and lived in Hamden for 50 years.
Before her retirement in 1972, she was a registered nurse at the former Grandview Manor Convalescent for 20 years. Previous to that, she worked at Yale-New Haven Hospital and did private duty nursing for many years. She was a graduate of the Litchfield County Hospital School of Nursing.
Besides her husband she leaves a daughter in law, and 2 granddaughters.She was predeceased by a son, Donald Maigret.
