She was born October 26, 1921 in Wheeling, WV., the daughter of Paul L. And Marie Magdalene Nielson Welshans.
Mrs. Munas was an executive secretary for EL Paso Natural Gas, where she was honored as secretary of the year. She was a past President of the Sun and Sage Chapter of The National Secretaries Association International.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Munas in 1996 who she married December 27, 1941.
Surviving are a sister, Joy Thomas of NC; three nephews, Walter Haleski and his wife, Beth Ann of Orlando, FL, Philip Haleski and his wife, Sandy of Wheeling and Edward Rocknich and his wife, Marsha of CA; two nieces, Saundra Heller and her husband, Kevin of Wheeling and Molly Blazek of Bellaire, OH; several great-nieces and nephews and several great-great-nieces and nephews.
There will be no visitation. Friends will be invited to attend graveside services at Greenwood Chapel on Saturday, May 14, 2011 from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 10 a.m. with the Reverend Dr. Michael Linger officiating. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling.
