Truck Turns Over; Driver Dies Under It
Ridge Spring, Dec 17 -- The wife and son of Judson Foster Sanders, 51, watched his truck skid, run up a bank, throw him out and turn over on him early today.
He was riding alone in the truck near his home. His wife and son were following in a car when they saw the accident happen. Mr Sanders was removed immediately to Aiken County Hospital and pronounced dead on arrival.
He was a farmer and pulpwood dealer. He had lived in Aiken County all his life and was a member of Mount Calvary Lutheran Church near Ridge Springs. He was a son of Mrs. Jessie Cullum Sanders and the late Judson Sanders.
Surviving are his mother; his wife, Mrs Iona Sanders; two sons, Judson Foster, Jr and Felder Sanders; three daughters, Mrs William Barksdale, Seneca; Miss Katie Ruth Sanders, Asheville, NC; and Donna Faye Sanders of the home; a foster son, Gaines Entrekin; one brother, Cordius Sanders, Monetta; four sisters, Mrs. Sadie Eargle, Ridge Springs; Mrs. Frontis W Eargle, Columbus, Miss; Mrs. L B Eargle, Langley; and Mrs J P Pratt, Johnston.
Funeral services will be conducted at 4 pm Saturday at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church by the Rev W A Seigman. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
