Clarence K. Doran, 101, Springfield, passed away at Cox South Hospital Monday, Dec. 15, 2003. Clarence was born March 2, 1902, in Christian County, Mo., the son of William and Eliza Grubaugh Doran. He was a retired shop laborer for Frisco Railroad and last year celebrated his 100th birthday. He was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Ethel Flood, and three brothers and a sister, Lawrence, John, Donald and Ina Bingham. Survivors are his children, Marguerite Zorad of Plano, Texas, and Margie Berg of Sun City West, Ariz.; grandchildren Sheree Reeves of Plano, Texas, and Jesse Lyles of Ridgedale, Mo.; greatgrandchildren Christine Walz of Camdenton, Mo., Allison Lyles of Liberty, Mo., Julie Herron of Kansas City, Mo., Bryan Reeves of Plano, Texas, and Angela Reeves of Plano; and three great-greatgrandchildren. Also surviving are a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 19, at Thieme-Shadel-Hicks Funeral Service at Rivermonte with entombment to follow in Rivermonte Memorial Gardens.
