SOUTH PORTLAND: Donna M. (Hascall) Byrnes passed away in her granddaughter Nichol's arms on Sunday, December 11, 2011 at the South Portland Nursing Home, where she had been a patient for a couple weeks.
Donna was born in Portland on April 20, 1951 daughter of the late Earl J. and Violet B. Theriault Hascall. She had been a resident of the area most of her life.
Donna loved family barbecues in the summer, as nothing was more important to her than her children and family. She also loved Bon Jovi.
She is survived by her former husband and companion of 42 years, Robert Byrnes Sr. three sons Robert Byrnes Jr. and his wife Tonya of New Gloucester, Richard Byrnes Sr., Ronald Byrnes and a daughter Deanna Angell all of South Portland, ME. Six grandchildren, Nicole, Robert 3rd, Joshua, Richard, Alexis, and Heaven, she also leaves two sisters Becca and Linda and three brothers Earl, Burt, and Phillip. Besides her parents she was predeceased by a sister Brenda Hascall.
Friends and family are invited to a celebration of her life on December 17, 2011, at 4:00 PM at 68 Targgett Rd New Gloucester, ME.
There will be a graveside service in the spring at Highland Memorial Cemetery, South Portland, ME.
