Albert Augustus Tinker, 82, a pioneer resident of Flagler Beach, died at his home on Central Avenue Sunday night at ten o'clock, after an illness of more than two years.
Mr. Tinker was a. native of New York City and moved, with his parents, to Chicago the year following the great fire there. He was a retired mail carrier of that city.
A member of the Baptist Church, he was devoted to its teachings and was an interested member of the choir and all musical circles in the county, often playing his violin for the entertainment of his friends.
Mr. Tinker was elected town commissioner here on three occasions, serving for the last time four years ago.
The family moved from Chicago to Flagler Beach eighteen years ago and built a cottage on Central Avenue where they lived.
Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Pearl Tinker, two sons, Harold of the United States Navy and stationed in Vallejo, California, and the Rev. A. Melvin Tinker of the Methodist Church in Dowagiac, Michigan.
Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon in the local Baptist Church with Dr. E. R. Dow of Flagler Beach officiating, and music by the Bunnell Baptist Church choir.
Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Active pallbearers are R. R. Mosby, George Wickline, Dr. E. R. Dow, A. A. Root, George Moody and N. E. Carter, all town officials. Honorary pallbearers: Charles Parker, Charles Ranger, R. S. Tolan, D. B. Roberts, A. A. White and L. Rabberman.
