Mr. Fitzgerald, of Fowler, was born to Harold and Cathlyn Fitzgerald. He passed away at home with his family at his side.
Bob graduated from Merced High School with the class of 1958. Upon graduation, he attended Fresno City College and received his AA degree.
He was a Sales Executive for Coca Cola Foods and Citrus Central for 16 years. Over the last 27 years, Bob worked for CSAA as a Sales Agent.
A special thanks to Dr. Thomas Hackett and staff of St. Agnes Cancer Center and Bob's brother-in-law, Dr. Robert Guzoujian who gave such great care to Bob during his illness. Also, a special thanks to Jeanette Louie, his caregiver who provided much love and comfort.
He is survived by Susie, his loving wife of 22 years; daughters, Aimee and son-in-law Manuel Mattos of Alamo, Ca., Janee Fitzgerald of Ellensburg, Wa.; grandchildren, Kate Mattos, and Kohner Fitzgerald Haniuk; sister, Dorothy and brother-in-law, Charles Moore of Montgomery, Al.; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Lucille and Dennis Peters of Fresno; brother-in-law, Dr. Robert Guzoujian of Clovis; sister-in-law, Nancy Vitato of Merced; mother-in-law, Betty Guzoujian of Fowler; and many wonderful nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and dear friends.
Visitation will be held at Wallin's Fowler Funeral Home, on Wednesday, December 14, 2011, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a Home Service beginning at 7:00 p.m.
A Church Service will be held at St. Gregory the Illuminator Armenian Church, 220 S. 3rd St., in Fowler, Ca, on Thursday, December 15, 2011, at 10:00 a.m., with interment to follow at Fowler District Cemetery.
