Edna Elizabeth (Burden) Luker, 85, of Rockford died at 3:12 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2011, at Rosewood Care Center.
Born May 18, 1926, in Lawrence County, AL, daughter of Martin and Geneva (Canups) Burden. She previously worked at National Lock Co. Married Freddie W. Luker on March 25, 1950, in Tishomingo County, MS; he died Feb. 13, 2005.
Survivors include son, Kelly Luker of Rockford; daughters, Geneva (Charlie) Thompson of Conway, AR, Patricia Haycraft of Rockford, Marsha (Henry) Byard of Clarksville, TN, and Donna (Preston) Kemp of Dover, TN; brothers, Newell Burden of Brooksville, FL, and Grady (Ruby) Burden of Loves Park; sisters, Rosie Bryant of Moulton, AL, and Bertha Burden of Loves Park.
Predeceased by an infant brother and brother, Roy Burden during World War II in France; parents; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
