Mamie Louise Abercrombie, 74, of 203 Ivy St., died Nov. 4, 2001, at Greenville Memorial Medical Center. Born in Simpsonville, she was a daughter of the late William Alex and Osa Brooks Abercrombie. She was retired from Her Majesty. She was a member of the Ruth Driggs Circle and Fellowship Club of Buncombe Street United Methodist Church, the Fellowship Club of First Baptist Church of Mauldin, the Homemaker Club of Greer, Cluster Leader for Greenville United Methodist Women and Bethel United Methodist Church. Surviving is a sister, Nancy Abercrombie, of the home.

Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice. Service 3pm Thursday, Nov. 8, 2001, at Bethel United Methodist Church, with burial at the church cemetery. The family is at the residence. Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown.
