He was born September 2, 1935 in Billings, Oklahoma and died Thursday, December 8, 2011 at Perry Memorial Hospital.
He started as an electrician at the age of 13. He worked hard and became the owner and operator of Beckner Electric and owned his company for over forty years.
Clyde served in the ministry for over seven years.
Clyde met his wife Donna Irene Moelling and they were married on August 12, 1955 at the Lucien Methodist Church.
He was an avid golfer, loved reading and spending time with his family and watching sports as well as fishing and hunting.
Clyde was a volunteer fireman at the Lucien Volunteer Fire Department and is also a charter member of the fire department coffee club.
He was on the board of Habitat for Humanity.
He was also a member of the Lucien United Methodist Church.
Clyde will be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother and friend by those he touched with his random acts of kindness.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at the Lucien United Methodist Church. Rev. Ruth Atterberry will officiate.
Interment will be in McGuire Cemetery in Lucien, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Brown-Dugger Funeral Home in Perry, Oklahoma.
Clyde is survived by his wife Donna of the home; two daughters, Carla Marie Barnes of Lucien, Oklahoma and Sherry Lynn Ashley of Perry, Oklahoma; four brothers and sisters, Jim Beckner of Minnesota, Juanita Hise, Virgil Dale Beckner both of Perry, Oklahoma and Ruth Graham of Grove, Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents; one sister, Donna Marie Beckner; three brothers, Donald Ray Beckner, Benjamin F. Beckner, Robert Lee Beckner.
