Lucille "Seabie" Verdin Baldwin, 88, beloved wife of the late David C. Baldwin, died Sept. 3, 2004, at Hillcrest Hospital.
Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late Charles Smith Verdin Sr. and Tweetie Smith Verdin. She was a homemaker, and was a charter member of New Hope Baptist Church.
She is survived by daughters, Barbara (John) Forrester and Shelby (Jimmy) Woods; sons, Norman (Joan) Baldwin, Randy (Debra) Baldwin and Stan (Cindy) Baldwin; grandchildren, Rebecca Smith, David Baldwin, Michelle McCuen, Kevin Baldwin, Matt Baldwin and Zachary Baldwin; stepgrandchildren, Robin Sprouse and Joel Forrester; two great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a son, Johnny H. Baldwin; brothers, Henry and Smith Verdin Jr.; and sisters, Ruth Duncan and Louise Blakely.
Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday at New Hope Baptist Church, with visitation before the service, at the church, at 3 p.m. Burial will follow at Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
