On December 13,1891 Charles Franklin Elicher Luce was born in Omaha, Nebraska the eldest son to Charles Henry and Lula Mae (Whitfield) Luce.

In 1900 his parents divorced "Frank" (aka Frank Rabe) along with his two brothers George Bertram Luce and Silas William Luce were put in a orphanage in Omaha. This was suppose to be only temporary, but a family came to the orphanage and Frank was chosen, this new family was to keep the Luce family informed when they moved so the three boys could always be in touch. However, Frank's adopted family changed his name, moved out of state, and George and Silas lost their brother. Through-out their lives George, Silas, Charles and Lula wanted to know where was Frank. Frank's mother Lula put a lost person ad in the newspaper trying to locate Frank.

Frank A. Rabe was adopted in Omaha, Nebraska, adopted by Albert #14289521 and Euphemia 'Thorn' Rabe #142895422. Lived in the state of Washington, married Inze Anderson (1899-1996) on February 25, 1933. Adoptive parents Albert F Rabe FAG #14289421, Euphemia Rabe FAG #142895422

Frank's birth parents Charles Henry Luce is buried in Omaha, Lula Mae (Whitfield) Luce-Bruton-Miller is buried in St. Louis, Missouri.
