MARTHA ANN BEERS RITES TO BE HELD ON TUESDAY

Galena, Kan., May 24. - Funeral services for Mrs. Martha Ann Beets, 72 years old, who died Sunday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mable Duncan, in the Greenwood school district southeast of Galena, will be held at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Duncan home.

Burial will be in the Lowell cemetery under the direction of the Allison funeral home. Mrs. Beets suffered a stroke of paralysis 14 years ago and had been in failing health since that time. She had been bedfast for some time. She formerly resided in the Five-Mile district south of Galena but had been at the home of her daughter the last year. Her husband, Maynard Z. Beets, died in 1931.

Surviving, besides the daughter, are five sons, C.F. Beets of Lowell, John Beets of Quapaw, Fred Beets of the Devils' Promenade district, George Beets of Galena and Albert Beets of Baxter Springs.
