In 1938, Clyde Baker met Janice Rosalie Reynolds, they married shortly thereafter.
Clyde was in the Army Signal Corp, (Radio Operator) stationed at Alaska, where Janice joined him (about 1940). Their first child Patricia (Anita) was born there. From this point, Clyde transferred many places and was stationed at Cordova, Seward, Yakutat, Adak, and Fairbanks (Alaska). The Bakers also lived in Ankara, Turkey for a while, after which, they returned to the states (Holloman AFB, N.M., Sacramento, CA). They at one point also lived in a little house across the side street from Janice's parents Maynard E. and Inez V. Reynolds, at Corvallis Oregon, eventually though, they settled at El Paso, Texas, where they raised their family.
The Baker children are Patti, Mark, Steve, and Cindy.
