11/19/1959- Tuttle Times:

Funeral services were held at the Missionary Baptist church, Tuttle, Saturday for William Alfred Jenkins. He was born in St Joseph, MO, 3/12/1864. From there, he moved to Hillsboro, TX, later moving to Tuttle where he resided for the last 25 years. He operated a shoe repair shop for a number of years before retirement. Rev R.L. Lampkins conducted the services. A trio, Mrs Louis Shearer, Mrs Ralph Hovis, & Mrs Don Smith provided the music. He is survived by his wife, Mrs Lina Jenkins, 2 sons, Jake of Stanford, TX & Floyd of Flaydada, TX, 6 daughter, Mrs R.D. Riddings of Whitaroid, TX, Mrs C.H. Dennis of Blair, OK, Mrs Earl Lawley of Suisun, Calif, Miss Nell Jenkins of Oklahoma City, & Mrs Henry Medief of Tuttle, 40 grandchildren, and 35 great grandchildren.
