Chester C.Dickson, 66 of Lovington died at 9:45 am, Oct. 18, in Decatur and Macon county hospital.
He was born Aug. 4, 1902 at Lake City, Ill., a son of Joseph and Emma Stackhouse Dickson. He was a retired drill press operator for Ball Bearing factory. He was a member of Lovington Christian church and the Moose Lodge at Batavia, Ill.
He was married to Vivan Schisler on June 2, 1925 at Kellerton, Iowa. He is survived by his wife Vivian of Lovington, a son William of Aurora and daughter Mrs. Wendell(June) Walden of Bloomington, a brother Joe Dickson of Portales, N. M. sisters, Mrs. Jay Dyer of Bloomington, Ind and Mrs. Earl(Sylvia) Smith of Decatur and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services were at 1:30 pm Oct. 21 at the McMillin funeral home in Lovington in charge of the Rev. Jerry Elmore. Burial was in Kellar cemetery.
