Kathleen Watson Pope, 86, of Americus, GA, formerly of Albany, died Monday December 5, 2011 in Americus, GA
The funeral service will be Wednesday (Today) 2 PM at Kimbrell-Stern Funeral Directors with interment in Riverside Cemetery. The Rev. Danny Loffredo will officiate.
A native of Carroll County, MS, Mrs. Pope resided in Albany for many years and she was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Albany. After moving to Americus, she became a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Americus. Mrs. Pope and her husband Tip, were married for 68 years and owned and operated Pope Burial Vault Co. for 35 years.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Tip Pope, Jr. of Americus, a daughter Sharon Hoover and her husband Ron of Norcross, GA, 2 sons, Donald T. Pope and his wife Martha of Lakeland, FL and David A. Pope of Macon, GA, four grandchildren, D. J., Clayton, Sam and Catherine Pope all of Macon, GA. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends at Kimbrell-Stern Wednesday 1 PM until 2 PM.
