Burchard Heye Killed in Train Wreck

Burchard Heye, 48 year old Victoria man and son of Mr. and Mrs. H. F. Heye of Gonzales, was killed instantly Sunday afternoon about five miles from Victoria when his car was struck by a train.
The body was taken to the McCabe funeral home at Victoria where services will be held at 9 Tuesday morning.
Burchard was a graduate of the Gonzales high school and got his degree from the University of Texas in 1925. He had been associated with the Central Power and Light company for many years as an efficiency engineer, and he had received many company honors for his work.
He is survived by his wife, a married daughter who lives at Lubbock, a son who is a student at Victoria junior college, and his parents. Other local relatives are Marcella and Louis Henry Burchard, both cousins.
