AARON BLANCK, OLD TIME BUILDER, DIES
Pioneer Who Came To Battle Creek in 1866 Died Early This Morning at Hospital.
Aaron Elmer Blanck, for many years, one of Battle Creek's best known residents, having come here with his father in 1866 and later taking an active part in several of the larger business undertakings in the city over a long period of years, died this morning at 4 o'clock at Nichols Hospital at the age of 79. The residence has long been at 72 North avenue.
While interested in a number of business affairs and active in many directions, Mr Blank's main activities until his retirement in 1905 were those of a building contractor. And he built many of the earlier business blocks and manufacturing plants, as well as a large number of the rest residence buildings in the city.
In recent years he has been am enthusiastic member of Battle Creek's unique Three-Quarter Century Club. He attended the first meeting as one of the organizers and has since materially assisted the secretary C. H. Wheelock, in enrolling these eligible for membership.
