Flossie Wilson Dunn was known to be called Skinny Granny by a lot of her family. She was the daughter of Matilda Perry and Sidney Smith Wilson, married to JC Dunn, and mother of six sons and one daughter. She also had 23 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
There were always holiday celebrations at her house with many, many people showing up especially at Thanksgiving and Christmas. I consider myself very lucky to have been able to spend time with my great grandmother until I was a teenager. She had strawberry in her hair and brushed it 100 times every day before braiding it and fixing a bun. She was healthy to the end and passed peacefully in her sleep.
