Mrs. Ella S. Blakey, 81, of 808 S. 16th St. died at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Springfield Manor Nursing Home. A resident of Springfield since 1944, she was born in Chicago the daughter of Matthew and Letha Douglas. She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters. Surviving are her husband, the Rev. Henry F. Blakey; three daughters, Mrs. Ruby Sartor of Gary, Ind., Mrs. Rita Howard and Mrs. Delores Doss, both of Springfield; one stepson, Garfield Blakey of Gary, Ind.; several grandchildren and nieces. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thrusday at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, with the Rev. Richard Mays officiating. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery. W.W. White Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
