Norman H. Bauer, 52, RR1, Sublette, died suddenly Sunday, April 21, 1985 in Spring Valley.

Services are today, Wednesday, at 11 a.m. at Clarion Lutheran Church with Rev. Dane Meuschke officiating. Burial will be in the Clarion Cemetery with military rites.

Visitation was Tuesday at Merritt Funeral Home from 4 until 8 p.m.

Mr. Bauer was born March 10,1933 in Lee County to Gust and Malinda (Grosch) Bauer. He married Virginia Naumann in 1953 in Peru.

A lifelong farmer, he was a member of Clarion Lutheran Church, the Church council and Mendota Elks. He was also an army veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia; one son, Tim of Mendota; one daughter, Jeanine of Chicago; two sisters, Mrs. Don (Bernadine) Kessel of Franklin Grove and Mrs. Lyle (Ruth) Geuther of LaMoille; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, Luke.

Memorials may be directed to the church.
