A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Harmon Rogers and Minta Jarrett Rogers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Willie Alexander Burrell, who died in 1985. Mildred was a member of Starnes Cove Baptist Church for many years and at her passing was a member of Hazelwood Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 25 years, one daughter, two sons, a stepdaughter, two stepsons, five grandchildren, four step-grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Entombment will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum beside her first husband.
