Lucile Atkinson, 71, 937 S. Monroe, died Tueday evening at a local hospital after a short illness. She was morn May 16, 1898 in Iron Mountain, Mich., to the late John and Hannah Atkinson. She attended Xavier College in Chicago, Ill., and lived in Green Bay most of her life. She was a member of the Catholic Women's Club; the Fiarcre Garden Club; and a former member of the Green Bay Garden Club.

Survivors are one sister, Mrs. R. A. (Margaret) Gardner, Green Bay; two nieces, Mrs. Jon Gallagher, Shawano; Mrs. Bernard Clark, Riverside, Calif.; two nephews, Thomas and Henry Atkinson, Green Bay. One brother, Dr. Henry Atkinson, preceded her in death.

At Schauer and Schumacher East Side Funeral Home after 3 p.m. Thursday. Catholic Women's Club rosary at 4 p.m. Thursday. Wake service 8 p.m. Thursday. Funeral Friday, 10:30 a.m. St. John Catholic Church. Burual in Fort Howard Cemetery.

A memorial has been established for the St. Joseph Academy Scholarship fund.
