They were the parents of Tandy, John Davis, Arthur, James, Dortha, Clyde E, Dorthula, Leslie, and Robert Welch. He is listed on the 1860 Federal Census in Murrel, Hancock, Tennessee; on the 1870 census in District 11, Grainger, Tennessee; on the 1880 census in District 10, Grainger County; and on the 1900 census in Civil District 10, Grainger County. Most likely buried near other family members in the Bean Station Cemetery, but if so, his grave is unmarked.
