Bernadine A. 'Dean' (nee King) Wagner

Funeral services for Bernadine A. "Dean" Wagner (nee King), 86, of Big Pine Key, Fla., will be noon Tuesday, April 19, 2011, at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby, Ohio.

Mrs. Wagner passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2011, at her residence in Big Pine Key.

Born Dec. 13, 1924, in Indiana, Pa., she had lived in Willoughby Hills for more than 40 years before moving to Big Pine Key 24 years ago. Dean retired from General Electric Nela Park, where she worked as a supervisor in the Lighting Division.

She enjoyed all water activities with her husband, including scuba diving, fishing and boating. She also had a great love for all animals.

She was the loving mother of Raymond C. Wagner III of Big Pine Key, Marlene Z. (Derek) Romeo of Madison, Ohio, and Mark R. (Ann) Wagner of Willoughby Hills; cherished grandmother of nine; great-grandmother of 25; great-great-grandmother of two; and aunt of many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Raymond C. Wagner, in 1985; daughter-in-law, Carol A. (nee Erich); parents, William and Zanomia (nee Stiffler) King; and siblings, Billy King Jr., Donald King, Chet King, Gary King, Denny King and Vonnie Martinez.

Special thanks to her longtime private caregiver, Semoy Thomas.

We would also like to thank Dr. Covington, Dr. Grider and the staff of Hospice Care of Southeast Florida Inc., including Jane, Jeannie, Peggy, Gizel, Pam, Betty and Ava for all of their loving care.
