Elizabeth C. Harms, mother of Eugene Harms of Pullman, passed away in Sunny Haven Rest Home in Sunnyside, Washington, June 15, on her 91st birthday.
Mrs. Harms, who has been in the nursing home the past three years, has been bedfast the past six months and has suffered a series of strokes.
She was a life long member of the Methodist church, and a member of Simpson Methodist church in Pullman.
Elizabeth Crossgrove was born at Brashear, Missouri on June 15, 1874. She came to Almira, Washington in 1900, and was married to Herman F. Harms on December 24, 1900. She lived in Almira until 1919, when the family moved to a farm two miles south of Pullman, which they have occupied since that time. Her husband preceded her in death in August 1922.
She is survived by four daughters and two sons, Mrs. Glen Solverthorne, Portland, Oregon; Cora Harms, Sunnysise, Washington, Irene Harms, State College, Pennsylvania; Mrs. Al Raab, Beaverton, Oregon; Eugene L. Harms, Pullman; Anton F. Harms, Sedro Woolley, Washington; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 18, at the Simpson Methodist church with burial in the Pullman City Cemetery.
The family suggest memorial contributions may be made to the Simpson Methodist church Memorial Fund.
