Graciela was married to Enrique Lucas and had a nine-month girl named Carla. On April 2, 1976, Graciela was captured with her daughter in Oruro, Bolivia, where they lived. Then Enrique was murdered, also in Bolivia. Graciela and Carla were taken to the Department of Politic Order (in Spanish: Departamento de Orden Político - DOP) in Oruro, where Graciela was brutally beaten by security agents all the night and part of the next morning, as her daughter was privated of food. Then Graciela and Carla were taken to La Paz, mother and daughter being separated. Graciela was taken to several sections of Bolivian Ministery of Interior, where she went on to be tortured by agents. Carla was entered to the "Hogar Carlos Villegas" orphanage under the name Nora Nentala, with charge of being very watched. Carla was taken several times to her mother's tortures, being herself abused (she was taken naked, taken by feet and downhead). Graciela's mother did several reports before International Red Cross. Thanks to them Graciela was found out where she was kidnapped, receiving the visit of Mr. Isler, delegate of that organism, who succeeded in reuniting Carla with her mother. Carla was taken to the orphanage of Villa Fatima, now with her name. On August 29, 1976, Graciela and Carla were delivered to Argentine authorities. Carla was found in 1983, and now lives in Madrid (Spain) with her maternal grandmother. She is mother of two daughters, Graciela and Anahi. Graciela continues disappeared.
