Elizabeth was born on Sept. 29, 1938, in Soudan, the daughter of Samuel and Mayme (Siltala) Joki. She grew up and attended school in Embarrass, and graduated from Virginia High School in 1956.
Elizabeth was a sales representative of educational materials and magazines. Her job took her throughout the United States and Europe. Later she worked as a consultant for inventors, assisting them in packaging their ideas.
In 1992, she moved back to Eveleth to be closer to her family. She loved the Olympics, especially the skating. She also enjoyed crafting, crosswords, needlepoint and listening to Jack Jones music.
Elizabeth is survived by a sister, Nancy Menelli; a brother, David (Gayle) Joki; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Burial will be in Waasa Cemetery.
