Andrea L. Ansel, 43, of Akron, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Monday, November 28, 2011 at Hospice of Lancaster County.

She was born in Chester, PA to James and Betty (Drenning) Kane of Ephrata and was the wife of Steven L. Ansel, they were married 15 years.

Andrea was a member of Ephrata Church of the Nazarene, Ephrata, where she was active in numerous activities. A graduate of Pennsylvania School of Art and Design, she also spent 4 years as a nanny in NJ. Andrea worked in customer service and inside sales for Fenner Drives Manufacturing. To her being a mom was the most important job of all.

In addition to her parents and husband, Andrea is survived by a son Kyle C. Ansel and a daughter Jamie E. Ansel both at home; 2 sisters Pamela, wife of Jere Frysinger of Lancaster and Amy, wife of Jabier Larroza of Lancaster; her in laws Marvin and Florence Ansel of Ephrata; nieces and nephews Shawn, Sara, Seth, Caleb, Emily and Danny.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2011 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Friday 10 am to 11 am at the Ephrata Church of the Nazarene, 110 Durlach Road, Ephrata, followed by her funeral service at 11 am with Dr. B. W. Hambrick officiating. Interment will take place in the Fairview Cemetery Annex, Denver.

Memorial contributions in Andrea's memory may be made to American Cancer Society-Lanc. Co. Unit 314 Good Drive Lancaster, PA 17603 or her church Children Ministries, Ephrata Church of the Nazarene, 110 Durlach Road Ephrata, PA 17522.
