Chavez -- Lorencita (Lorie) Chavez, 86, a beloved sister and aunt was called home to be with the Lord, Saturday, April 3, 1999. Miss Chavez was a resident of the Ladera Nursing for 14 years. She was preceded in death by a niece Josephine Trujillo. She is survived by her loving sisters, Lilly Chavez of Tennessee and Neph Garcia and husband, Justiniano of Albuquerque; sister-in-law, Filomena Chavez; her precious nieces and nephews, Mary Ann Benavidez and husband, Raymond, Betty Casados, Louis Garcia and wife, Susan, Donna Allen and husband, Gary, Florenio"David" Trujillo all of Albuquerque; and numerous grand-nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her loving family. On behalf of the Chavez family they wish to extend their sincere appreciation to the Ladera Nursing Staff for their care and love shown to their loved one. Family and friends may visit Monday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 in the Chapel of Garcia Mortuary, on the corner of 8th and Iron; where a rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Vista Verde Memorial Park. Funeral services are under the direction of Garcia Mortuary, 717 Stover Ave., SW, 243-5222.
