Portal - Mrs. Luree Brinson Fields, 86, died, at her residence under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice. The native and life long resident of Bulloch County was a homemaker. She was the oldest member of the Poplar Springs Baptist Church and had served on the Board of the Bulloch County Department of Family and Children Services. She was preceded in death by her husband, Buster Fields. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Jimmy Akins of Statesboro; a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Niki Fields of Portal; six grandchildren, Mike Fields of Portal, Cindy Bennett of Stilson, Rebecca Powell of Portal, Jim Akins of Statesboro, Jason Akins of Statesboro and John Fields of Portal; nine great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Saturday from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the Poplar Springs Baptist Church. Burial: Poplar Springs Bap tist Church Cemetery. Friends may sign the online register book at www.joineranderson.com.
