Services for Joseph Edward Evans, 82, of 117 E. Forth St., will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Olson Funeral Chapel with burial at Fairview Memorial Park. Mr. Evans died Saturday at his home. Prayer service will be at 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr.Evans was born Dec.2, 1891 in Emmetsburg,Iowa. He married Lena Bast Jan. 26,1916 in Esterville, Where they made their home until 1925, when they moved to Fairmont. He was a carpneter until retiring in 1958.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Francis of Venice,Fl.; Kenneth of Fairmont and Raymond of St. Paul. Three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, five sisters, Mrs. Roy Bartleman of St.James, Mrs.Mamie Lynch and Mrs. Lucile Reinhardt, of of Estherville, Mrs. Catherine Tucker of Las Vegas,NV, and Mrs. Elizabeth O'Brien of Emmetsburg.
