Somebody chose to link a Margaret Burt to my Great Great Great Grandfather as a daughter from a previous marriage. In 20 years of research and all kinds of interesting family records there has never been any suggestion of any kind that the Peter Burt who was my 3rd Great Grandfather was ever married before. There were so many Peter Burt's in Scotland I don't know why my Great Great Great Grandfather was chosen as this Margaret Burt's father???
This Margaret would have been my Great Great Grandfather Peter's older half sister.
Peter's nephew, P.H. Burt, wrote a detailed family history letter telling about everybody in the Burt family tree and where they lived and he knew his uncle Peter, who was my Great Great Grandfather and nothing was ever mentioned as to Peter having any older half sister.
