Dan passed away at age 82, in Somerset, Kentucky on Thanksgiving Day, November 24, 2011.

Dan was born in Hitchins, Kentucky on June 30, 1929, to Glen and Marie Prichard Rucker.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother.

He graduated from Hitchins High School. Dan served in the Air Force for four years. He moved to Oak Hill, Ohio and worked in the brickyard and later relocated to Marion, Ohio and worked with Marion Power Shovel Company until his retirement. Dan moved to Grayson, Kentucky where he lived out his retirement years. He enjoyed many years caring for the Prichard homestead in Hitchins, Kentucky where his mother and grandparents had lived. Dan was a good and caring man to his family and friends.

Dan is survived by his brothers, Bob and wife Mary Ann of Bonita Springs, FL., Tom of Troy, OH., Glen and wife Peggy of Greenville, TX., sister Rebecca and husband Jonnie Blair of Somerset, Ky., who lovingly cared for him this past year, by many nieces and nephews, and by special friend Betty Wentz of Grayson, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 28, 2011, at the Malone Funeral Home, by Stan Howard. Burial will be at the Hillcrest Cemetery.
