Anton Brandler was born on 5 May 1835 and died on 21 Sept 1918. He served during the Civil War with the 17th WI Infantry, Co. F, as a Union soldier. He enlisted 01 Oct 1864 and was discharged 20 Jun 1865. He was listed on the 1890 special census of surviving soldiers, sailors, widows, etc., who served in the army of the United States during the war of the rebellion. He resided in Wills Point in 1890. His wife was Willie M. Christine, born 15 Jun 1843, died 21 Feb 1915. They are both buried at White Rose Cemetery. He has a GAR marker.
