Born in Spartanburg, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Samuel Jervey and Hallie Matthews DuPre.
Mrs. Beattie was a retired Kindergarten owner and was a member of Christ Church Episcopal.
She is survived by two brothers, Samuel Jervey DuPre of Spartanburg/Mount Pleasant, S.C., and C. Henry DuPre of Spartanburg, S.C.; one sister, Lila DuPre Donaldson of Mount Pleasant, S.C.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, H. Cleveland Beattie; a brother, John Y. DuPre; and one sister, Eloise DuPre Royall.
A graveside funeral service will be held Friday, January 25, 2008, at Woodlawn Memorial Park at 11 a.m.
