Services for Dena M. Ellis, age 77 of East Dublin, will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, November 21, 2011 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Billy Todd will officiate.
Mrs. Ellis was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and the Sunshine Sunday School Class. She was a homemaker and the daughter of the late Oscar Felton McDaniel and the late Agnes Mercer McDaniel. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, W.B. Ellis; sister, Elizabeth Drew and two brothers, Grayson McDaniel and Buddy McDaniel. She passed away on Friday, November 18, 2011.
She is survived by two daughters, Teresa Fulford and Lisa Thigpen, both of East Dublin; son, Dale (Tammy) Ellis of East Dublin; two granddaughters, Cheryl Thigpen and Rachel Ellis; grandson, Steven Ellis; great-grandson, Cayden Thigpen; sister, Ann (Glen) Stapler of Brownsboro, AL; brother, Felton (Mary) McDaniel of Dublin and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will Eddie Thigpen, Earl Cannon, Michael Carter, Lynn McDaniel, Butch Clay and Tony Clay.
The family may be contacted at the home of Dale and Tammy Ellis, 533 Cauley Road in East Dublin.They will receive friends at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home on Sunday evening from 6:00PM until 8:00PM
