BURNS ARE FATAL TO AKRON WOMAN AFTER TWO WEEKS

Rites Are Being Held On Thursday For Mrs. Wilhelmina Beeck

Mrs. Wilhelmina (Fred) Beeck, 79, of Akron died in a Sioux City hospital Monday of burns suffered two weeks ago in a home accident, Mrs. Beeck was severely burned April 6 when her clothes caught fire as she was bending over a cook stove. She had been hospitalized in Sioux City since then.

Mrs. Beeck, the former Wilhelmina, was born Oct. 25, 1887, at Oldenburg, Germany. She was married to Mr. Beeck May 16,1908, in Germany and they came to this country in 1912, settling on a farm near Akron. They retired from farming and moved into Akron in the 1950s. Mr. Beeck died in 1960.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Carl Johnson of Craig, Iowa; seven sons Gus, Chris. Henry, Albert, Carl, Emil and Alvin, all of Akron; 28-grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral; services are being held at 2 p.m. today (Thursday) at Trinity Lutheran church, the Rev. Harris Hostager officiating. Congregation singing, Mrs. Glen Gabel, organist, and burial in Riverside Cemetery. Casket bearers were Clarence Marienau, Darrell Johnson, Donald Beeck, Dennis Beeck, Douglas Beeck, Ronald Kjose.
