Louise Marino (nee Serra), of New City, NY, passed away at home with her loving family by her side on Monday, November 14, 2011 at the age of seventy-two.

She was born in The Bronx, NY to the late Michael and Carmela Serra (nee DelPrete).

She is survived by her loving husband of fifty-one years, Rocco A. Marino, whom she married in 1960. They moved to New City, NY in 1970, where they raised their family.

Louise was a loving and caring mother to her seven children and their spouses: Mary Ann Ferrante and her late husband Ronald of Nanuet; Carmela Marino of Pearl River; Lawrence Marino and his wife Laura of Nanuet; Theresa Mulqueen and her husband Kevin of Tappan; Louise Guerra and her husband Luis of Nanuet; Rocco Marino Jr. and his wife Beth of Garnerville; and Michael Marino and his partner Scott Slatin of New York City. She was also a very devoted and generous grandmother to eleven grandchildren: Shannon, Katelyn, Racquel, Arianna, Christopher, Lindsey, Matthew, Rocco, Janaye, James, and Paulina. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Albert Marino and his wife Diane of Poughkeepsie, and her sister-in-law, Anna Serra of New City. Louise is predeceased by her brother, Nicholas Serra, in 1999 and one granddaughter, Angelica, in 1998.

Louise was also very active in her local parish, St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church, in New City and New City 2 Senior Citizens as well as a great friend to many. She will be missed dearly by all.

Viewing hours will be held on Wednesday and Thursday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home in New City, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church in New City, NY.
Entombment will follow at Ascension Cemetery in Monsey, NY.
