Rita was born to Clyde and Margaret Rohman Caldwell. She married Richard L. Brecklin on July 2, 1960, in Peoria. He survives.


Also surviving are one son, Richard (Phyllis) Brecklin of Dunlap; three daughters, Angela (Thomas) Spears of Peoria, Mary (Eric) Stone of Peoria and Karen (Jay) Wirts of Shrewsbury, England; 10 grandchildren, Richie, David, Natalie, Eric, Katie, Maggie, Brian, Ellie, Annie and Christopher; four brothers, Dick (Marlene) Caldwell, John Caldwell, Dan (Beverly) Caldwell and Tom Caldwell, all of Peoria; and three sisters, Bernadette Langan, Angela Easter and Lori Koger, all of Peoria.


She was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Ann Caldwell and Mary Schultz.


Rita graduated from The Academy Of Our Lady in 1948, then worked at Jefferson Bank for many years.


She was a member of St. Philomena Catholic Church and its Women's Guild. She also was a member of St. Jude Knights of Columbus 55 Plus Club and Catholic Women's League.


Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
