W. W. Granger Services Held Here Sunday

Funeral services for Willard Winston Granger, 81, who died at Crews Hospital Saturday at 11 a.m., were held Sunday at the family residence. C. F. O'Neall, assistant pastor of the First Baptist church, officiated at the residence, and I.O.O.F. Lodge members held graveside services, conducted by B. Duncan Davis and Walter Finch.
A choir from the Baptist church sang "The Ild Rugged Cross" and "I Need Thee Every Hour.
Pallbearers were Ed Harborth, Adolph Kuehn, Fred Lang, Oscar Hopkins, Frank Braley, Willie Condes, Max Schurig and John Fougerat.
Mr, Granger was born in Kalamazoo county, Mich., March 10, 1865. He moved to Caldwell county, Texas, in 1880 and moved to Gonzales in 1883 and had lived here ever since. He married Miss Ollie Bertling in August, 1889.to them were born a daughter and three sons. Mrs. Granger died Feb. 22, 1913. He married Miss Maggie Daughtry in 1929. His second wife preceded him in death in 1940.
Mr. Granger, a retired carpenter, was for years a meow the Methodist church, later joining the Episcopal church with his second wife. He was a member of the I.O.O.F. for 34 years.
Survivors include a son, Roland Granger; a brother, Charles Granger, who made his home here with his brother for the past year; nine grandsons.
