The couple had no children. Nathaniel and his wife whom he called "Ma" and him "Dad" settled in College Park, Georgia, joining Laster Chapel United Methodist Church where he remained a member for the rest of his life. Nathaniel, a quiet and humble man was employed for the city of College Park for 27 years. Nathaniel Arnold departed this life in East Point, Georgia on April 12, 1996.
