Doris M. Kapella (nee McCann)

Age 77. Friday, October 31, 2003 at her late residence. Born November 16, 1925 to the late John D. and Ethel (Dart) McCann. She has resided in the Joliet area since the 1940's. A Lockport High School graduate and former employee of the Joliet Public Library, Doris was a life master contract bridge player and an avid Cubs fan.

Loving wife of the late George E. Kapella (1998). Beloved mother of George E. (Merlyn) Kapella Jr. and Stephen (Marikay) Kapella. Also survived by her grandson Brian Edward Kapella; three sisters, Jacquieline (Richard) Hosbach, Wanda Frenchick and Norma (Bob dec'd) Toothacher; two brothers, John (Pat dec'd) McCann and Donald (Polly) McCann. Numerous nieces and nephews.

At Doris' request, cremation rites were accorded. All friends and family are invited to meet at the funeral home Wednesday, November 5, 2003 at 8:45 a.m. and proceed to Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, where inurnment for Doris and her beloved husband George will take place at 9:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Rainbow Council #702 of the Boy Scouts of America. A memorial visitation will be Tuesday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at:
