Mrs. Ila Faye Anderson, age 74, of Blairsville, Georgia, passed away Sunday, February 23, 1997 in St. Joseph's Hospital in Atlanta.
Mrs. Anderson was born in Walker County, Georgia on November 30, 1922, a daughter of the late James Alexander McArthur and Jeney Anne Alexander McArthur. She was a homemaker and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. A native of North Georgia, she had lived in Lake Park, Florida for thirty years before returning here seven years ago.
Surviving are her husband, Mr. Andy Anderson of Blairsville; daughters, Peggy White of Green Cove Springs, FL., Jean Luksa of North Palm Beach, FL., Reba Mixon of Slidell, LA.,; sons, David Parks, Jr. of Lake Park, FL., Charles Parks of Jupiter, FL.; step-daughters, Karen Anderson, Robyn Anderson, Terri Anderson, and Jodi Anderson, all of North Palm beach; sister Betty Cornelius of Cullman, AL; brother, Ralph McArthur of Lake Worth, FL.; grandchildren, Russ White of Madison, AL., Sandi White, Lancaster, England, Steve White of Jacksonville, FL., Lissa Luksa of North Palm Beach, Renee Mixon, of Green Acres City, FL, Jay Mixon of Palm Beach gardens, FL., Charles Parks, Jr. of Tuscaloosa, AL., and Lori Ann Parks of Orlando, FL.; step grandson, Keith Kowalski of North Palm Beach; great grandchildren Jason McDaniel, Chelsea White and Alex White.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, February 26, 1997 at 1 p.m. from Antioch Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Gowder officiating. Special music was presented by Todd Green, Debbie Owenby, and Patsy Davenport. The following gentlemen served as pallbearers: Rick Davenport, Gary Cook, Steve Goines, Adam Copeland, Tommy Greene, and Ricky Tanner. Interment was in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.
