OBITUARY: Leoti Allen
Leoti Madge Allen, the daughter of Jack and Alice (Young) Craddock, was born at Florence, Colorado, on June 10, 1896, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on May 9, 1986, at the age of 89 years, 10 months, and 29 days.
She grew up and attended school at Florence, Colorado. Her mother died at an early age and she raised her brother and sister.
On January 21, 1917, she was united in marriage to Harry R. Allen, at Pueblo, Colorado. He preceded her in death on August 3, 1972. They lived in Pueblo after their marriage until 1971, when they moved to Aurora, to be near their son.
Leoti was a longtime member of the Bethel Methodist Church in Pueblo, and she attended the Presbyterian United Church of Christ in Aurora. She was also a member of the Eastern Star in Colorado and the Aurora Garden Club.
She enjoyed poetry and had wrote and published some of her own works.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 brothers, Luther and Jack Craddock, Jr., one sister Edith Vestal.
Those who remain to cherish her memory are her son Stanley D. Allen, one daughter Patricia A. Crum of Pueblo, Colorado, one brother, Henry Craddock of Pueblo, Colorado, 4 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.
