Arthur G. Baehr was born May 2, 1867, in Germany. He came to America at the age of 11 with his family, settling in Milwaukee for a short time, and then came to the farm near Dorchester. He lived in this vicinity since than and for the past 47 years on the present farm.
In his early years Mr. Baehr worked in local kilns for about 12 years and had the position as road patrolman of the county for 15 years.
He leaves his widow and five children; Mrs. Herbert (Elna) Wilhelmi, Abbotsford; Mrs. Rudy (Cora) Ewig, Decatur, Ala.; Mrs. Norma Kramer, Milwaukee; Herbert Baehr, Abbotsford, and Walter Baehr, Dorchester. Seven grandchildren also survive.
Three Children preceded him in death, Alma, Alfred and Arnold.

Dorchester: Funeral services for Arthur G. Baehr. 79. who died Sept. 25, were conducted from St. Peter's Lutheran Church at 2 p. m. Saturday, Sept. 28. A brief service was held at the Fuchsgruber Funeral Home at 1:30 p.m. The Rev. F. H. Sprengler, pastor of St. Peter s, officiated at the final rites and Interment was made In Dorchester Memorial cemetery. Pallbearers were Arthur H. and Earl and Vernon Baehr. Otto and Vernon Pargee, and Eldon Zasoba. Mrs. J. Brown, Mrs. E. Baehr, Mrs. O. Pargee. Mrs. H. Phalsgraf, Mrs. Paul Bedroske, and Miss Helen Ewert were flower carriers. Arthur George Baehr was born May 2. 1867 in Germany, the son of Carl Baehr and Frederika Wurdel Baehr. At the age of 11 years he came to this country with his parents. The family lived in Milwaukee for a short time before coming to Dorchester, where he had resided since. He was married to Miss Emma Pargee Dec. 20, 1896, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church. Mr. Baehr farmed in the Town of Mayville for 48 years, and also was a county road patrolman for 15 years. He was a charter member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church here and was treasurer of the congregation for 30 years. Survivors Include his widow and five children. Herbert Baehr, Mrs. Herbert (Elna) Wilhelmi, Mrs. Norma Krueger. Mrs. Rudolph (Cora) Ewig. and Walter Baehr. Seven grandchildren -also survive. Those from out-of-town who attended the funeral were Mrs. J. Zasoba and Eldon. Mr. and Ms. H. Baehr. Mr. and Mrs. G. Baehr. Mr. and Mrs. R. Robska. Mr. and Mrs. E. Baehr.
