Antone Frank died Friday, Feb. 11, 1916 at Delta, Colorado where he had made his home the past four or five years following a complication of leakage of the heart and dropsy from which he had suffered for several months. His remains were brought to Del Norte and burial was in the Del Norte cemetery in charge of Los Pinos Camp No. 24 W.O.W. of which the deceased was a member.
Antone F. Frank was 55 years, 2 months, and 11 days old at the time of his death, having been born in Germany Oct. 30, 1860. He arrived in this country when he was about 31 years of age. After spending time in the east he came west to Colorado and the San Luis Valley in the 1880s. He settled on land on the Rio Grande west of Del Norte, which was known as the Pinon Ranch, now owned by Fred Goyn. He moved to Creede during the boom days and was employed in the electric light plant there. When this plant burned he went into business for himself. About 1895 he went into the wholesale grain and feed business and was employed in this business until 1911 when he left Creede and went to Delta where he purchased a fruit farm of six acres.
He was married to Miss Minnie Udich of Salida, Colorado a few years after coming to Colorado and to this union six children were born, Fred, Frances, Lela, William, Georgia, and Bertha, all of whom survive, the mother having died a number of years ago.
On Dec. 15, 1904, he married again, the bride being Mrs. Rosalie Martin.
Besides the children above-named, he is survived by his wife and two children.
