She was born in Parsonsfield, a daughter of Fred and Nellie Stacey Hammond. She attended Porter schools and graduated from Porter High School in 1947.
Mrs. Emmons was a homemaker. Her greatest enjoyment was her family. She loved gardening and animals.
She married Brewster Emmons in October 1956.
Surviving are her mother of Parsonsfield; her husband of Porter; a son, Oscar C. Emmons of Porter; a brother, Fred Hammond Jr. of Wellesley, Mass., and a sister, Avril L. Christensen of South Portland.
A private graveside service will be held Tuesday at Kezar Falls Burial Grounds. The Rev. Greg Young will officiate. Arrangements are by York Funeral Chapel, Cornish.
